Financial protection for the unexpected.

Supplemental Coverage

Accident, Hospital Indemnity, and Critical Illness insurance provide you with additional financial protection in the form of a cash payment if you experience a qualifying condition. These cash payments can be used for related out-of-pocket costs, living expenses, saved for later use—however you want.

Accident Insurance

Accident insurance provides a cash benefit from a couple hundred dollars up to $10,000 if you or a covered family member experiences a covered injury, such as a fracture, burn, dislocation, concussions, eye injuries, ruptured discs, cuts requiring stitches, and more. This is a good plan to consider if you or your family members are active, play sports, or if you happen to have accident-prone children.

Hospital Indemnity Insurance

This program pays $1,000 per admission per year, and $100 per day that you’re in the hospital. It’s not meant to cover your entire bill, but this is a great additional benefit to help offset your deductible or other expenses that happen while you’re in the hospital. There are no pre-existing condition exclusions if you sign up during Open Enrollment. As long as the hospitalization happens after the plan is effective (1/1/26), it will be covered. This is a good plan to consider if you or your family members have a planned hospitalization, such as a pregnancy.

Critical Illness Insurance

No one wants to think about the possibility of getting sick, but if you do suffer from a critical condition, the added costs of everyday life can start to pile up. Critical Illness insurance offers a lump-sum payment if you are diagnosed with a covered condition, such as cancer, heart attack, or stroke. Choose between $10,000, $20,000, and $30,000 coverage options. Your dependents are eligible to elect 50% of your coverage.

Be Well Benefit

Every year, each family member who has Critical Illness coverage can also receive $50 for getting a covered Be Well screening test, such as annual exams by a physician, screenings for certain types of cancer, cardiovascular function screenings, cholesterol and diabetes screenings, and certain immunizations.
