Life happens, and there may be times when you need to step away from work to care for yourself or your family. RV Tech offers several types of leave and income protection to help support you during qualifying life events, medical needs, and other circumstances. Your eligibility, available time away, and pay will depend on the type of leave and your individual circumstances.
RV Tech provides time away and income support for employees welcoming a new child.
For a qualifying pregnancy, leave is generally available for:
Unum provides 70% of your salary, up to $4,500 per week, coordinated with any applicable state benefits. RV Tech tops off the remaining 30% to provide your full covered benefit. The amount of leave available may also be affected by your state's disability program.
Eligible employees can receive up to 12 weeks of Paid Parental Leave per qualifying event within a 12-month period, paid at 100% of regular pay. In states with mandated paid family leave benefits, RV Tech coordinates company pay with the state benefit and provides the remaining amount needed to bring you to your full covered benefit.
If an illness or injury keeps you from working, disability benefits may help replace a portion of your income while you're away.
Short-Term Disability (STD) benefits begin after 7 days of disability and can continue for up to 12 weeks.
Unum provides 70% of eligible income, up to $4,500 per week, coordinated with applicable state benefits. RV Tech tops off the remaining 30% to provide your full covered benefit.
If your disability continues for an extended period, Long-Term Disability (LTD) may provide additional income protection.
LTD benefits:
If you live in a state that provides mandated disability or paid family leave benefits, your RV Tech benefits are coordinated with the amount you receive from the state.
You'll need to apply for any state benefits you're eligible to receive. RV Tech will assume you've applied and will reduce company-paid benefits accordingly so your combined income does not exceed your full covered benefit.
The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) provides eligible employees with unpaid, job-protected leave. FMLA generally runs at the same time as Pregnancy Disability, Parental, and Medical leave—it does not provide additional time off on top of those leaves.
Eligible employees may receive:
To be eligible for FMLA, you must have been employed for at least 12 months.
RV Tech also provides policies for other situations that may require time away from work, including:
